We live out our values through our Cresswood Cares program. As we design and manufacture world-class industrial grinders and shredders for the paper, plastic, pallet, and wood industries that reduce waste and improve our planet, we also take time each month to help improve our community. Each of our Cresswood team members is involved in choosing organizations in their local community that they want to impact. Our care team, led by staff, collaborates and chooses where to invest our resources each month to make a difference in the places we live and work.

On May 4th, Cresswood participated in the annual Give DeKalb County.

Give DeKalb County is a philanthropic event featuring multiple ways for donors to support nonprofit organizations located in or serving DeKalb County, Illinois. Donors can give by check or can donate online during the 24-hour giving day at GiveDeKalbCounty.org. This was the 10th anniversary of Give DeKalb County. In 2023, Give DeKalb County raised $1,792,585 for 142 different local organizations. And as a local family-owned, American made industrial shredder company, Cresswood was honored to be a part of this charitable event.

Cresswood decided to spread out our donations to three different local charities: The Barb Food Mart, Open Door Rehabilitation Center, and the Genoa Township Park Foundation.

The Genoa Township Park Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that was formed to enhance the physical, recreational, educational, and cultural life of an individual and the community. The foundation develops financial support through grants, trusts, memorial donations, and sponsorships; promotes the use of recreational resources and services; increases recreational and educational programs offered; and holds and conveys land for the future development of public parks.

If you know a local nonprofit organization that could use the support of Cresswood Cares, contact us online to connect with a member of the Cresswood team. Serving our community is an integral part of how we run our family-owned, American made industrial shredder and grinder business. We were honored to be a part of Give DeKalb County.
