This month, we’re shining a light on two essential team members—Ron Weihofen and Ryan Shin—who help power our purchasing and shipping/receiving operations with skill, care, and dedication.
Ron Weihofen: A Steady Hand in Purchasing and Inventory
With more than 25 years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, and logistics, Ron Weihofen joined Cresswood in 2012 and immediately felt at home.
“It felt more like a fun family holiday than a job interview,” Ron remembers. “Warm, friendly, and filled with laughter. I knew this was the place for me.”
Starting in the shipping and receiving department, Ron quickly moved into the role of Purchasing and Materials Manager and now oversees both purchasing and logistics. From managing vendor relationships to ensuring we have the right parts on hand for production, Ron helps keep our operations efficient and our customers happy.
His expertise ensures we can continue building wood, paper, plastic, and pallet recycling shredders that perform reliably in real-world industrial environments.
Outside of work, Ron enjoys gardening, fishing, and a good cigar. His steady presence is a cornerstone of our operational excellence.
Ryan Shin: Shipping and Receiving with Energy and Insight
Joining Cresswood in March, Ryan Shin is a fresh face in our Shipping & Receiving department—but he’s quickly made his mark. With a diverse background that includes roles as a lifeguard, camp counselor, hardware supervisor, and martial arts instructor, Ryan brings adaptability and an eagerness to learn that fit perfectly with our fast-paced workflow.
“I love the atmosphere here at Cresswood,” says Ryan. “Everyone’s been incredibly welcoming. I’m really looking forward to growing with the team.”
Ryan’s role is crucial to ensuring that components and finished machines—including our world-class industrial grinders—are received and shipped with care and precision. His work helps us meet deadlines and uphold our reputation for quality and service.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys reading, gaming, and quiet nights with his wife, Joy. He also once spent a summer on staff at Sky Lodge, making sure everything ran smoothly amidst organized chaos—a skill that certainly comes in handy at Cresswood.
